Customer Maintenance: CM

At a prompt type “CM” and press ENTER to access the customer Maintenance program.  Customer Maintenance is used to access J & E’s customer database.  This program can be used to find information such as; customer ID numbers, names, addresses, ship-to addresses, contact names and phone numbers.  QUERY is the only option the inside sales staff is authorized to use from the Customer Maintenance ring menu.  THE INSIDE SALES STAFF IS NOT TO USE ANY OTHER OPTIONS FROM THE CUSTOMER MAINTENANCE RING MENU.  Select QUERY from the ring menu.  The computer will prompt you to enter search criteria.  Enter the date for the field and press ENTER to advance to the next data field. When all the known data is entered press ESC to begin a search.

 

Each customer has three screens of data.  To access these screens you will press the number 1 for screen 1, the number 2 for screen 2 and the number 3 for screen 3.  The ring menu does not have the usual ACCEPT option.  However, the program uses the NEXT and PREVIOUS options for scrolling to another customer.
