Packager I Expectations

You will be required to fill out a production sheet each day. You should know the expected production level is 400 packages in an 8 hour work day. There will be times when you will be helping out in other departments and you will not be available to package for an 8 hour time period. It is important for you to record time spent away from packaging as an exception because you will receive credit towards your productivity.

  • You are responsible for recording your productivity as well as your exceptions.
  • You must put your name on the sheet.
  • Your writing must be clear enough for others to read it. If not you may not get credit for the work you have completed.
  • If you do not have a production sheet available make sure you ask for one.
  • At this level you should gain an understanding of how to measure a fastener.
  • You should also be able to tell common grades of fasteners.
  • You should understand what a Hex Cap Screw, flat washer, hex nut, and a split lock washer are.
  • You should be able to determine the difference between common platings.
  • You should have a slight understanding of machine screw head styles.
  • You should know your thread pitches from 1/4 to 1″
