Labeling

Blue and White

The J & E Blue & White label is what we use to identify customer orders once they are packaged. It should contain the customer name, their PO#, our order # and your fill #. Other important information such as who ordered the parts along with their phone # should be listed when available. A Blue & White label should be on the outside of every single box, bag, tube, bundle, and pallet for every order. The Blue and White label should always be placed on the top of a box. Proper labeling is critical in ensuring that a customer gets all of their packages as well as only their packages. Mislabeled or unlabeled parts are more likely to be given away with the wrong order or left off the customers order. This costs everyone time and money. Writing should be legible and neat. Remember, customers are going to see the label that YOU make!

Red and White

Red & White labels are used to give a description of the individual part contained in a box, bag, etc. We use them to identify the part by description, grade of material, coating, quantity, lot number, if applicable, and the J & E Part number. If we have the customers part number on file then it needs to be included as well. Many customers use these labels to check off their orders upon receipt and many keep them so they can reference the information to reorder the parts again when they run out. Again, writing should be legible and neat. In some cases you may not have a grade of material, lot number, or customer part number. All information that you do have should always be included on the label.

If there are no other parts in a box the Red and White label should always be placed on the blank side of the box.
