Description:
Nylock is short for Nylon Insert Lock Nut. It has a nylon piece pressed into the top of it that serves to hold the nut in place. As it is tightened onto a bolt, the bolt cuts threads into the nylon. The nylon fits securely around the bolt threads but does not deform them. The inserts come in a variety of colors but that in no way affects the grade of the nut.
